Day 8: Bombed it to Colorado
Quick update as I recover from the longest ride I’ve ever done or will ever do. 625 miles with last 75 through Rocky Mountain foothills and Friday “weekend getaway” traffic. I’m literally still shaking/vibrating from the 12 hour journey. I took short breaks as needed but mostly rode the road, I estimate 10 hours ‘in the saddle'. Almost all 70 West with 75 MPH speed limit which I did a tad higher cruising at 80 mostly.
I decided to do the extra effort and distance to get an awesome 3 night stay in Georgetown Lake, CO rather than the planned 2 night stay. This will be my base for relaxation and local mountain rides for the next three days. That will be a nice break from the single night stays I’ve done the past few days. I’m sitting outside at a restaurant right next door to my hotel enjoying some good tunes from a local musician. I’ll post more later or tomorrow.
If you are reading this, I want to thank for taking the time to catch up on my adventures. Peace out. Rocky Mountain High!

Loaf n’ Jug reminded me of Sack o’ Suds from “My Cousin Vinny”.
